As you may be aware Scottsdale Arizona has an endless list of restaurants and bars that appeal to every demographic and social scene imaginable.  Within the 1 mile square range that makes up Old Town Scottsdale, there is so much activity and such a wide range of entertainment options that there really is no need to go outside this area for the whole night.  Scottsdale is located in the center of the Phoenix AZ valley so getting there isn’t a long drive no matter where in the valley you’re coming from.  The Scottsdale nightlife is world famous for high-end entertainment, some of which even rivals Vegas.  Celebrity sightings are common in this area as well as it’s well known high concentration of  “scenery”.  Scottsdale is definitely home of the pretty people.

From Happy Hour all the way through the night to last call there is something for everybody.  Catch some happy hour specials at Drift Lounge, get some dinner at Stingray Sushi, and end up singing karaoke at Geisha.  Old Town is perfect for out of towners as well.  Several hotels are within walking distance of the area so no driving is necessary and there really isnt a need to leave the Old Town area.

Downtown Scottsdale offers some of the finest galleries, specialty retail, cultural attractions and dining in the Valley of the Sun.  Scottsdale is at the heart of the city’s art scene, with Contemporary and Western Art, Theatre 4301 and a wide variety of outdoor sculptures set amid the green lawns and sparkling fountains of Civic Center Mall.

Scottsdale’s Arts District is home to a high concentration of galleries showcasing some of the best Western and Southwestern art in the country. Throughout Old Town, shopkeepers sell quality Native American crafts, offering everything from hand-woven Navajo rugs to jewelry.

Old Town includes the older Scottsdale area that extends from Thomas to Camelback on Scottsdale Road.  This area is also the home of the annual Parada del Sol Parade , which features floats, food and fun for the whole family. This parade has become a popular yearly event and takes place in February. The Scottsdale Stadium holds thousands of fans each year, as they watch the San Francisco Giants hit the ball around one of the oldest baseball stadiums in Arizona. Other attractions include the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival . Old Town is flanked on the north by the large fashion shopping mall, Scottsdale Fashion Square . With more than 15 restaurants and stores including Dillards , Nordstrom’s, Neiman Marcus and in the near future- Barneys . More than 500 specialty stores are also a part of this desert shopping oasis.
